Most "it's not working" reports are one of the first four questions below. If yours isn't, email support@topoffintel.com with your name, truck number, and a screenshot, median reply is under an hour during pilots.
Installing & updating
The iPhone TestFlight link says the beta is full or expired
Email us, we refresh the link or invite your email directly. (iPhone installs go through Apple's TestFlight app; that part is normal.)
Android says "app not installed" or blocks the install
Delete any older TopOff first, then reinstall from the newest link. If your phone warns about "unknown apps," tap Settings → Allow from this source, then Install. Still stuck? A handful of very old phones need a different build, one email and we'll send it.
Do I have to update the app myself?
iPhone: no, TestFlight auto-updates in the background (open TestFlight and tap Update to get it immediately). Android pilot builds don't auto-update: when we send a new link, install it over the old one.
Prices & stations
A price in the app doesn't match the sign at the station
Every price shows its freshness ("updated 3h ago"). Street prices move, and the savings math is never based on the sign. It's based on what your fuel card actually paid. If one station is repeatedly wrong, report it and we'll fix its feed.
Why don't I see a station I know is nearby?
Two common reasons: it has no reliable current price (we hide stale data rather than guess), or its brand is excluded because the fleet card doesn't work there (e.g., warehouse clubs).
I drive diesel, am I seeing diesel prices?
Check the Regular/Diesel toggle at the top of the screen. It remembers your last choice.
Logging & savings
I tapped Log, do I enter gallons now?
No. The tap is everything. Fuel on the fleet card as normal; the card transaction confirms your gallons and price automatically.
My fill still says "Pending"
Normal. Savings post when the card transaction settles and matches, usually within a day, sometimes two. Still pending after 3 days? Confirm you fueled the logged station on the fleet card, then email us.
I logged but didn't end up fueling there
No harm. An unmatched log expires on its own after a few days and never counts toward anything.
I forgot to log before fueling
The fill still counts toward fleet savings through the card data, you just may miss that stop's app bonus. Make the tap part of the leaving-the-yard habit.
No signal at the pump
Log anyway. It queues on your phone and syncs when you're back in coverage, timestamp preserved.
I'm driving a different truck today
Tap the unit number on the home screen and change it before logging, fills credit to the truck you set.
Privacy
Is the app tracking me all day?
No. Location is used only while the app is open, to rank nearby fuel. No background tracking, no personal cards, no personal accounts, everything runs under the fleet's workspace. Details in our privacy policy.
